Fact Resource persons and accommodations help the student experience and participate in their learning with the same opportunities available to other students. Without accommodations and/or resource persons, deaf and hard-of-hearing students may not get the full benefit of the learning experience.

Myth iPods alone do not cause hearing loss. Prolonged exposure to elevated levels of sound, whether through the use of iPods and similar devices, or in a working or recreational environment, can cause hearing loss.
